Shipping & Delivery

Once we receive an order, we aim to process all orders within 1 to 2 working days (Monday to Friday). You will be able to see from your customer portal, status changes with the journey of your parcel. Once it is ready to be shipped, you will get a notification status update that it has been “Dispatched”, at this point, tracking information will be provided, signature will be required upon delivery.

Receiving the order

All parcels require a signature upon delivery, you must check the items and report any issues to us within 2 days of receiving the items, please also include photos of the damaged or broken items in the return request and we will kindly investigate and respond as soon as possible. If successful, we will issue a refund or resend the item back to you at our own cost. Send to info@orientalshop.uk, please also see our “Returns” for more details.

Additional Charges

The customer has the full responsibility to pay for all the costs associated if any of listed scenarios below occurs and for any additional costs incurred for returning or re-sending the parcel.

  • Changes to shipping address, after dispatched from the warehouse
  • Wrong delivery address or restricted delivery address given
  • Failed multiple attempted delivery

Specific Category additional charges

  • If your basket has items from the Rice category and the total weight of items from this category weighs more than 10kg, then additional charges will apply.
    • For each additional 28kg (over the initial 10kg) within the rice category, an additional charge of £7.99 will be applied.
    • Additional Charges covers for any additional packaging required to disptach goods and/or to split orders into mutiple parcels due to weight restrictions set by delivery companies.

Free Delivery Offer conditions

  • Order must be over £55 (including Vat)
  • Must be within postal addresses within the ZONE 1 area (UK Mainland only)

Please Note:

  • If you have ordered Fresh/Frozen goods, additional packaging surcharge will still apply
  • If the parcel needs to be re-delivered due to error of shipping address or failed delivery attempts, then additional shipping costs will apply
