Summer Taster Festival Returns to Oriental Shop This September
Free Asian food and drink tastings, exciting new products, exclusive festival offers and the chance to meet leading suppliers are all returning to Bordon as Oriental Shop hosts its biggest Summer Taster Festival yet.
Following the incredible success of our previous tasting events, we’re delighted to invite customers from across Hampshire and beyond to join us on Saturday 5 September 2026 for a day dedicated to discovering authentic Asian food, drinks and culture.
Since launching our first tasting event in 2024, thousands of visitors have joined us to explore new flavours, meet suppliers and experience the incredible diversity of Asian cuisine. This year promises to be our biggest festival yet, with nine brands already confirmed, more expected to be announced and the introduction of our brand-new Summer Taster Festival Awards.
Whether you’re already passionate about Asian food or simply curious to try something different, our Summer Taster Festival is the perfect opportunity to sample a huge variety of products completely free of charge.

Visitors will be able to sample a fantastic selection of authentic Asian food and drink, from savoury snacks and noodles to refreshing beverages, sweet treats, sauces and cooking ingredients.

One of the highlights of every Taster Festival is the opportunity to meet the people behind the products.
Our suppliers are passionate about sharing their brands, explaining ingredients, recommending serving ideas and introducing exciting new products. Whether you’re an experienced home cook or trying Asian cuisine for the first time, you’ll leave inspired.
With nine brands already confirmed and more announcements to come, this year’s festival will offer our widest range of tastings yet.

Many of the products featured throughout the day will also be available at exclusive festival prices while stocks last.
Our supermarket will remain open throughout the event, with thousands of authentic Asian groceries, frozen foods, snacks, drinks and cooking essentials available to purchase.

This year we’re introducing something completely new.
For the first time, we’ll be recognising the suppliers who help make our Taster Festival such a memorable experience through the inaugural Summer Taster Festival Awards.
