A Recap: Our Summer Taster Collaboration with Unisnacks
On 31st August 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting a special tasting event in collaboration with our supplier, Unisnacks. The goal was simple: to offer our customers the chance to try before they buy and to introduce some exciting new products from Unisnacks. What we didn’t anticipate was just how popular the event would be! The turnout exceeded our expectations, and the in-store buzz was incredible.
Turnout and Atmosphere
The number of attendees was beyond anything we had imagined. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces, alongside new ones who discovered us for the first time—even though they live locally! As the day progressed, the shop became so lively that by midday, the queues grew longer, and we know that some of you had to wait a little longer than usual to pay for your items. While this isn’t our typical level of service, it was heartwarming to hear customers express their love for our little store, with some even travelling from quite a distance just to shop with us.

Key Activities
The event was packed with activities designed to engage and delight our customers. We had a variety of tasting stations set up, offering an array of samples that showcased the best of what Unisnacks has to offer. Customers also had the chance to win instant prizes when they purchased three or more items from the sampled products, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive—so much so that many of you asked when the next event would be!
Special Offers and Promotions
In addition to the tasting stations, we also had some fantastic exclusive deals available during the event. Customers could take advantage of buy-one-get-one-free offers on YumYum noodles, Melona ice lollies, and Mini Melts ice cream balls. Kato drinks were on sale for just 89p each, down from the usual £1.29. We also offered 10% off Prawn Coils and Prawn Twists, Mini Rice Crackers, Heng’s Crispy Chilli Sauces, and Paratha. These deals were a big hit, with many customers walking out with bundles and cases of their favourite items, enjoying significant savings.
